José João Neves Ferreira de Magalhães graduated in Textile Management and Marketing from Philadelphia College of Textile and Science and attended an MBA in IESE, Barcelona. In 1997, concluded with “Gold Medal”, a USDA Cotton Classing course, in Bakersfield, California. Participated in 1998, in “Executive Program in Strategy and Organization” in Stanford University, California. Participated in 1999 in an Executive course, in Harvard Business School, entitled “Families in Business – from Generation to Generation”.
From 1990 to 2011, President and CEO of Teviz Group, which includes Tevitom, Decoviz, Tevyz, Kyrgyzstan and Arte, Romania. Vast experience in company restructuring, dislocating production and cost cutting in traditional textile industry.
Also a member of Conselho Superior do BCP Millennium, member of Conselho Geral do Museu dos Transportes e Comunicações and President of the family’s foundation – Fundação de S. Miguel.
2012-13 worked in Pratibha Syntex Ltd, first as a Consultant and then as a co-CEO. Hired to help restructure a typical Indian textile family company into a professional one, capable to compete in the world market.
Still up to the present moment, a member of the Board of Directors of Endutex Group of companies.
