Ideally a sample or two along with the fabric
specs and style and measurement specs will trigger us into action for developing
the counter samples and quotations from at least 2/ 3 suppliers. A target price
would speed up the whole thing because then we will know which supplier to
contact for which product. If you are unable to send the sample, we will request
you to send the sketch or garment photograph with full fabric and measurement
details. This would be sufficient to begin with. May be you could test the
waters with only one product which you have some difficulty in sourcing or
finding good choice of suppliers.

Our modus operandi is as
follows:
Samples are sent to Protech
If possible, target prices are given by you
{actually we prefer this because in our experience, if we ask the suppliers to
quote, the first quote is usually very ambitious. Revealing our price
expectation then leads to a protracted negotiation. More importantly, target
price helps us in approaching the most suitable supplier, for all the units have
their own ideas of overheads and some of the units are very possessive of this!
Therefore target price helps us in approaching the right supplier(s)}
Protech forwards the samples to relevant companies
Entire sampling process and price negotiation is
done by Protech and you will be informed at every step
Three set of samples are developed; one set is
sent to you directly by the supplier, an other set is sent to Protech and the
third set is retained by the supplier.
Once you are satisfied with the samples and the
prices are finalized, an order is placed.
Transferable LC is opened on Protech which
transfers the LC to the to the main vendor, some times subsidiary vendors and
accessory suppliers - depending on requirements of the order.
The yarn and accessories are finalized along
with the suppliers of the same and samples are sent to you for your record and
reference
The production and shipment schedule is agreed
and on the day of starting the production Protech deputes its team of inspectors
at the supplier's factory
Daily production/ inspection reports is sent to
Protech which is forwarded to you
Test reports, if any is forwarded to you as and
when called for/ performed
Just before the shipment, logistics are
co-coordinated and the space booking on the vessel is co-ordinated by Protech's
personnel posted in the factory.
Full details of the shipment is sent to you on
the day of shipment- B/L, packing list and the invoice for you to complete your
formalities of receiving the consignment.
Our technical team comprises of highly
experienced textile engineers and technicians. The second rung of personnel are
textile diploma holders and have experience on the shop floor and have
experience of at least three years on the inspection front.
